Georgia Gwinnett (NAIA) switch Ben Weber received the beginning for Omaha and struck out the facet throughout his lone inning of labor. His fastball sat on 90 and he confirmed two efficient secondaries in an 83 mph changeup and a 78-82 mph slurve. Subsequent to the mound was the Mavericks’ prime pitching prospect on the day in righthander Brayden Curtis. A 6-foot-1 senior, Curtis averaged 92 and touched 93 along with his 4-seam fastball that generated some swing/miss.
